About Saving Our Sarah CIC

OUR AIMS

Join us in our mission to unite communities through the Saving Our Sarah restoration project. Our goal is to bridge the generational gap by having older individuals pass down their wealth of knowledge, stories, and boatbuilding skills to the younger generation, who may not have as strong of a connection to Cornwall’s historic maritime traditions.

We are determined to involve people of all ages and backgrounds in the rich maritime heritage of Cornwall, working closely with our maritime partners, promoting through education and fundraising initiatives, and hosting interactive events such as webinars and crowdfunding opportunities.

We firmly believe that heritage has the power to spark the imagination, bring joy and inspiration, and instill pride in our roots and connection to the past. Furthermore, we recognise the positive impact that heritage can have on the well-being of our community members.

By fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie, promoting self-confidence and self-worth, and providing outlets for physical activity, heritage projects can greatly improve people’s overall outlook on life. Join us on this journey to celebrate and preserve our shared heritage.

The impact of this restoration project is far-reaching and goes beyond heritage preservation. We strongly believe that it has the power to uplift the wellbeing of people in our community. By involving them in the project at all stages of their lives, we can foster a sense of connectedness and belonging in our neighbourhoods, boost individual confidence and self-esteem, and provide opportunities for people to stay active. Let us all come together to make a positive change through Saving Our Sarah CIC.
